British luxury gunmaker Holland & Holland has commissioned renowned Range Rover specialist Overfinch to create one of the world’s first £1 million (Rs 13 crore) Range Rovers. Based on the P615 Range Rover SV Long Wheelbase, the ultra-exclusive SUV is limited to just 25 examples worldwide, with each one extensively personalised to its owner’s requirements.
The collaboration brings together two iconic British brands renowned for their craftsmanship. Overfinch has reworked the Range Rover inside and out, while Holland & Holland has infused it with design cues inspired by its nearly 200-year legacy of producing handcrafted sporting guns. As a result, every one of the 25 vehicles will be unique, with no two examples expected to be identical.
On the outside, the SUV receives a host of bespoke touches, including an exclusive Holland & Holland-inspired paint finish, hand-painted coachlines and Overfinch’s signature carbon fibre body enhancements. It also gets bespoke badging, unique detailing and a set of bespoke 23-inch forged alloy wheels designed exclusively for the limited-run model.
Inside, the biggest transformation is reserved for the cabin. Every surface has been trimmed in premium leather, open-pore wood veneers and handcrafted metal finishes. Bespoke embroidery, engraved trim pieces and Holland & Holland branding feature throughout, while customers can personalise virtually every element of the interior, from the upholstery colours and stitching patterns to the wood finishes and metal accents. The boot has also been transformed with a bespoke storage system handcrafted to suit each owner’s lifestyle. It can be configured to carry sporting equipment, luggage or other personal belongings. And of course, all the clever and quirky gadgets from the standard Range Rover are carried over.
Mechanically, the SUV remains unchanged. Under the bonnet sits a 4.4-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine producing 615 bhp and 750 Nm, paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. Despite its focus on luxury, this behemoth can still sprint from 0 to 100kph in a claimed 4.5 seconds.
The Holland & Holland Range Rover is among the rarest and most exclusive luxury SUVs ever created. Given the choice, would you have this over a well-specced Rolls-Royce Cullinan or a Bentley Bentayga EWB? I’d be very tempted.
