If you thought the BMW 6 Series GT was dead, think again! BMW has launched a new variant of its grand tourer sedan. Called the BMW 6 Series GT M Sport Signature, it carries a price tag of Rs 79.50 lakh (ex-showroom), which is a marginal hike over the regular 6 Series GT. The 6 Series GT M Sport Signature can only be booked via BMW’s online portal, and is available only in the 630i trim.

From the outside, the BMW 6 Series GT M Sport Signature retains the same Liftback design of the regular 6 Series, the signature BMW kidney grille, and the side profile that cannot be mistaken for anything other than a BMW. Even at the rear, the LED tail-lamps and twin tailpipes are the same as the regular 6 Series GT.

The interiors of the BMW 6 Series GT M Sport Signature continue to be upholstered in Dakota Leather Cognac with black contrast stitching. In terms of features, the 6 Series M Sport Signature gains a few things over the regular 6 Series GT. The doors of the car now get a soft-close function. electronically-adjustable front Comfort seats with memory function and lumbar support. It also receives remote parking assist as well. 

Additionally, it retains the regular set of features, such as a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system running on BMW Operating System 7.0 with gesture controls, voice commands, BMW Virtual Assistant, along with five driving modes, and a 12.3-inch instrument cluster with 3D navigation.

There’s also a 16-speaker sound system courtesy of Harman Kardon, along with a keyless system and a powered tailgate. Rear passengers get access to powered sun-blinds and two 10.25-inch HD touchscreens with Bluray, screen mirroring, and two USB ports.

Safety-wise, this variant of the 6 Series GT offers an attention alert system, along with six airbags, ABS, dynamic stability and traction control, cornering brake control, and an electronic differential lock among others.

In terms of what’s under the skin, the BMW 6 Series GT M Sport Signature remains identical to the regular 630i M Sport trim. Powered by the same 2-litre twin-turbo petrol engine, the BMW 6 Series GT M Sport Signature gets 250 bhp and 40.7 kgm of torque, paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission. The adaptive air suspension is also a regular fitment on this variant.
