Audi India has inaugurated the country’s first ultra-fast charging station called the E-Tron hub in the Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. Created via a collaboration between Audi and ChargeZone, this ultra-fast changing unit has a total capacity of 450kW and delivers nearly 350kW of power to an electric vehicle. To achieve this, Audi has deployed a new liquid-cooled power gun that can deliver up to 500 amps of power steadily.

Audi E-Tron owners rejoice, as charging is free till March 2024. Furthermore, this charging station is compatible with other electric vehicles as well. Audi has also stated that the E-Tron which has the largest battery in India, sitting at 114 kWh, which can be charged from 20 to 80 per cent in a claimed time of 26 minutes.

The hub alone will feature five charging bays, a 24×7 integrated lounge accessible to all, and it is equipped with green energy technology, including solar roof panels and other additional features which are dedicated to support peripheral features like lighting, etc.
