Aston Martin launched the DBX 707 SUV in India at a price tag of Rs 4.63 crore (ex-showroom). Costing Rs 48 lakh more than the standard DBX, the DBX 707 is now the costliest car in the company’s line-up in India.
The Aston Martin DBX 707 uses the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 engine from the standard model but the engine has been reworked to produce 700 bhp and 91.7 kgm of torque. This engine is mated to a 9-speed automatic gearbox which sends power to all four wheels. The zero to 100 kph timing of the car is claimed to be 3.3 seconds with a top speed of 310.6 kph, making it the fastest production SUV.
Apart from the performance updates, the British carmaker has also made a number of cosmetic and aerodynamic upgrades to the DBX. This includes a larger radiator grille, new air intakes, updated LED DRLs, 23-inch forged alloy wheels and large ceramic brakes for improved stopping power. The DBX 707 also features a large diffuser at the rear with quad exhausts as well as an integrated roof spoiler.
On the inside, the Aston Martin DBX 707 is similar to the standard SUV albeit with a few tweaks, including a new driving mode selector and sporty seats. It gets an Alcantara and leather-lined interior, soft-closing doors, dark chrome trim bits and sports front seats that offer heating, ventilation and 16-way power adjustment.
It is currently the fastest SUV one can buy in India, but one can soon see it going up against the upcoming Lamborghini Urus Performante and Ferrari Purosangue. Deliveries of the Aston Martin DBX 707 are set to begin in April 2023.
