The 2024 Range Rover Velar has just landed in India at a price of Rs 94.3 lakh. While bookings for the luxury SUV opened back in July 2023, its deliveries will commence from this month. The 2023 Range Rover Velar will be available solely in the Dynamic HSE trim, with both petrol and diesel options.

As for “the surprise” that Land Rover slipped in here, the SUV maker will begin accepting orders for the first fully-electric Range Rover later this year, and an electric Range Rover Sport will follow suit!

Styling-wise, not much has changed, as it retains the overall same shape and profile. However, the front and rear bumpers have been tweaked, along with the grille. There are also four new colour options on offer, namely Zadar Grey, Varesine Blue, Fuji White, and Santorini Black. The 2023 Range Rover Velar now also gets Pixel LED headlights, and 20-inch Satin Dark Grey alloys wheels as standard.

The interiors are where the most significant changes have taken place the 11.4-inch touchscreen infotainment system has now replaced the dual screens on the centre console. This makes it look cleaner and uncluttered as opposed to the layout on the outgoing car. The features list is extensive and includes kit such as a four-zone climate control, a Meridian sound system, 20-way massage function for the front seats with heating and cooling functions, air suspension, power-recline function for the rear seat, powered tailgate, a cabin air purifier system, and a 360-degree camera among others.

The 2024 Range Rover Velar receives both petrol and diesel engine options, starting with the 2-litre petrol, which produces 246.6 bhp and 37.2 kgm of torque, maxing out at 217 kmph. The diesel is also a 2-litre unit with 201 bhp and 43.8 kgm of torque on offer, reaching a top speed of 210 kmph. The Velar also gets 530 mm of maximum wading depth, and this figure goes up to 580 mm with the air suspension.
