Seems like Range Rover believes in the philosophy of ‘what matters is on the inside’, as the 2024 Range Rover Evoque features changes mainly to its interiors, along with the addition of new features. The design hasn’t been tampered with too much, and the powertrains have been left untouched. All this for a reduced price tag of Rs 67.90 lakh (ex-showroom), which interestingly puts it on par with the Land Rover Discovery that was also updated not too long ago.

Minimalism everywhere…

Let’s get inside first (figuratively for now, of course). Similar to the Discovery, the 2024 Evoque also gets a completely redesigned dashboard, flaunting the 11.4-inch Pivi Pro touch screen system in the centre, which now incorporates most of the key functions of the vehicle. This replaces the dual-screen setup from the previous model, giving the dashboard a much cleaner, minimalist look. This might also remind you of the larger Velar. There is a concealable storage space in place of the secondary screen, which also hides away a wireless phone charging pad. The gear shifter lever has also been replaced with a newer unit appearing similar to the one on the Velar.

People living in cold or ambient temperatures need not worry, for the 2024 Range Rover Evoque comes packing with heated/cooled seats. Other features on offer include a 360-degree camera, OTA updates, terrain modes, drive modes, and an updated PM2.5 air filter.

The same set of powertrains have been retained; a 2.0-litre petrol with 246 bhp and 37.2 kgm of torque, while the diesel is also a 2.0-litre unit, packing 201 bhp and 43.84 kgm of torque. Both powertrains feature 48V mild-hybrid technology.

On the outside, the grille has been marginally redesigned, while the headlights have been slimmed down and also feature new DRLs. The twin-spoke alloys are also new, and the Evoque now features red brake callipers.

The tail-lamps appear sleeker

With this set of upgrades, the 2024 Range Rover Evoque, much like the newly-updated Discovery undercuts most of its rivals, save for the Audi Q5. Stay tuned for our review coming soon, and subscribe now for an entire year full of motoring passion!
