Didn’t the Audi Q7 already get a facelift? Well, 2022 was two years ago, and that is when the Q7, once Bollywood’s favourite SUV made a comeback in the Indian market. Now we hear Audi has given the Q7 its second facelift, featuring mostly cosmetic tweaks and equipment updates.

The very first thing you’ll notice is a revised Singleframe grille, which no longer features vertical slats, but instead gets L-shaped patterns. Audi says this will be a regular feature on its flagship models. The Matrix LED headlamps have been redesigned and appear similar to the ones on , and the top-spec model features the HD version with the Audi laser light, which becomes active at 70 kph. The OLED digital tail lamps have also been redesigned, and feature four customisable signatures which can be set via the MMI system. The profile hasn’t been tampered with, but new alloy-wheels ranging from 20-inch to 22-inch have been introduced.

The interiors receive slight upgrades

The new Q7 now gets compatibility with third-party providers, which means you can now use apps such as Spotify (which honestly isn’t what it used to be, but that’s a discussion for another day), Amazon Music, YouTube and so on. The virtual cockpit now also features a lane change warning indicator, distance warning, intersection assist and traffic light info.

Under the hood, things remain the same as before; the 3.0-litre V6 turbo-petrol churning out 335 bhp and 50.99 kgm of torque, while paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. It also retains the Quattro all-wheel drive system, adaptive air suspension, automatic parking, Bang & Olufsen sound system, and four-zone climate control among other things.

The Q7 features redesigned OLED tail lamps

We can expect Audi to make an announcement about the Q7 facelift in the coming months, with a marginal price increase. Would you still take this over the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS?
