Like in case of the 2017 Hyundai Elite i20, the Hyundai Creta SUV has also undergone minor changes for the MY2017 version. Apart from the inclusion of new features, a new Executive variant ‘E+’ has been added for the 1.4-litre diesel engined Creta, thus bringing the starting price down to Rs 9.99 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi.
On the other end of the spectrum, the company has also introduced an SX+ Dual tone trim on the 1.6-litre petrol and 1.6-litre diesel engined versions. As the name suggests, said variant gets a dual-tone paintjob (essentially a piano black finish for the roof and spoiler) in two combinations: white & black and red & black. The infotainment system has also been updated to one with new-age connectivity features like Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Mirror Link, and Arkamys Sound Mood for better audio.
Meanwhile the new E+ variant makes a more VFM proposition, but doesn’t miss out on basic features like ABS and dual airbags. It also gets rear AC vents, a 2-DIN audio system, electrically adjustable ORVMs, etc.
Prices for the Creta (petrol) start at Rs 9.28 lakh, Rs 9.99 lakh for the base diesel (1.4-litre), and Rs 13.7 lakh for the larger, more powerful 1.6-litre diesel. The new SX+ Dual Tone version is priced at Rs 12.35 lakh (petrol) and Rs 13.88 lakh (diesel).
