It is no secret that TVS is gearing up to launch the streetfighter iteration of its Apache RR 310. Now, the Hosur-based bikemaker has officially teased the motorcycle, confirming its global debut on September 6, 2023, in Thailand.

Launch Invite

Likely to be called the Apache RTR 310, the flagship TVS naked isn’t a rebadged BMW G 310 R. The leaked spy shots show that the upcoming bike features a sharper design compared to its Indo-German counterpart.

While the heavily camouflaged test mules haven’t revealed much, the RTR 310 is seen flaunting a horizontally mounted console. The switch cube on the handlebar suggests that it could be featured-packed unit, with tech like ride modes, navigation and smartphone connectivity.

Mechanically though, it is likely to be similar to the Apache RR 310, featuring the same reverse-inclined 312.2cc single-cylinder engine producing 32.52 bhp and 2.78 kgm. However, with no bodywork like the faired TVS, the RTR 310 would be lighter, and hopefully more peppier too.

What would be interesting to see is how TVS prices the bike, considering that the debut of the Triumph Speed 400 has rattled the dynamics of the market. With the Apache RR 310 demanding Rs 2.72 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), the RTR 310 could come at around Rs 2.50 lakh, which is still quite expensive than the Triumph.

Thankfully, we won’t have to wait much longer to see what TVS has planned with its flagship streetfighter.
