This is Triumph’s way of telling us that the next generation of the Tiger 1200 is on its way. Apart from the fishtailing and wheelie shots, we have very little information about the Tiger.

For starters, it will be lighter and will feature the 1160cc three-cylinder engine as seen on the new Speed Triple 1200 RS. Now, on paper, the Speed Triple RS produces 178 bhp and 12.74 kgm of torque. If you compare that with the current Tiger 1200’s 1215cc engine, it’s far more powerful. The current Tiger produces 139 bhp and 12.44 kgm. Also, the current one tips the scale at 250 kg.

From what Triumph claims, the new Tiger should weigh lesser than that. The teaser images do give us a hint that the new one carries an aggressive design. It should not be long until Triumph does a proper unveiling of the new Tiger, but it’ll take some time for it to fly down here. Nevertheless, BMW, Ducati and Harley-Davidson, y’all better keep an eye out for this Tiger!
