Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the 2023 Street Triple 765 range, with a major update to the Street Triple R, a new Street Triple RS and an exclusive limited-run Street Triple 765 Moto2 Edition – the closest you can get to a Moto2 racer for the road.
Engine upgrades derived directly from the Moto2 race engine programme result in a significant step up in performance on the new Street Triple R plus category-leading power for the new RS and Moto2 Edition, with increased torque and improved responsiveness across all three of the new 765-powered models.
The Street Triple 765 range gets a significantly upgraded 765cc triple engine, with 118 bhp for the Street Triple R and a category-leading peak power of 128 bhp for the RS and Moto2 Edition, and increased peak torque figures of 8.15 kgm on all models. There’s also improved responsiveness and acceleration with revised gearing and final drive and a new freer-flowing exhaust. There’s also the added track-ready Triumph Shift Assist up-and-down quickshifter fitted to all three models.
The bikes feature new optimised cornering ABS and switchable optimised cornering traction control and riding modes upgraded with new more dynamic throttle maps. They also get 5-inch TFT instrument panels on the RS and Moto2 Edition and a multifunctional instrument panel with a TFT display on the R. The RS and Moto2 Edition further feature all-LED lighting with distinctively shaped daytime running lights.
The motorcycles receive aggressive new styling, along with enhanced ergonomics and the highest-ever specification. The company claims that the latest generation of the legendary Street Triple is also the most agile and precise handling ever. The 2023 Triumph Street Triple Moto2 Edition is limited to 765 units worldwide and none have been allotted for India. The Street Triple R and RS, however, will make it to the Indian market soon.
