Suzuki India has started accepting bookings against payments made through Paytm e-wallet. This is in response to the current shortage of cash, following the government’s decision to demonetise certain currency notes. Through this, Suzuki ensures that you don’t need to carry cash to buy one of their products.

This is how it works: the booking amount of Rs 20,000 first needs to be paid to Suzuki via Paytm. Once that is done, the rest can be paid in equal monthly instalments. And if this convenience isn’t lucrative enough, Paytm customers will also get a cashback of Rs 3,000 on successful transactions.

The company has collaborated with HDFC Bank for financing options. If you happen to be a government employee or have an HDFC account, there will be a 100 per cent finance available on Suzuki products. Ones without said account but with a valid income proof will get a 90 per cent finance. That means you can effectively buy a Suzuki product at zero  (or very little, in case of latter) down payment, without having to pay any cash at all.
