Benelli has introduced an updated version of the Imperiale 400, which now costs lower than before. Do note that the Imperiale had already been given the BS6-update earlier, and was then launched for a price of Rs 1.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Now, Benelli has priced the 2021 Imperiale 400 for a price of Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom), thus, cutting the price by Rs 10,000. The reason cited for this by the company is more localised parts and a stronger rupee against the dollar.
But, what’s so different you ask? Well, nothing at all. The 2021 Imperiale continues to be powered by 374cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder motor capable of producing 20-bhp and 2.95-kgm of torque. This engine comes mated to a five-speed gearbox and has a standard warranty of two-years/unlimited kilometres. However, customers can extend that warranty by an additional two years. So, do you think the 2021 Benelli Imperiale is a better deal? Also, what would be your pick from the modern-classic bunch?
