India Kawasaki Motors has added its highly popular supersport motorcycles, the Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R and Ninja ZX-10RR, to its local assembly portfolio. Under a pre-order offer, the Ninja ZX-10R is priced at Rs 12.8 lakh while the more focussed ZX-10RR carries a price tag of Rs 16.1 lakh; both prices are ex-showroom.
Through an official announcement, the company further states that bookings for MY2018 versions of both are now open. There will be a limited run for said motorcycles, and the Ninja ZX-10RR will have fewer units allocated for the Indian market than the ZX-10R. The above mentioned price is valid only for the month of July and according to the announcement, there will be a ‘significant increase in the price’ once the offer is over. The Ninja ZX-10R will be available in the KRT livery while the Ninja ZX-10RR, as pictured above, will get a black shade only. Which looks cool, nevertheless.
MD of India Kawasaki Motors, Yutaka Yamashita said, “The new Ninja ZX-10R & new Ninja ZX-10RR have a unique engineering heritage with a very advance technology. Our newly established R&D played a vital role in making local assembly of the new Ninja ZX-10R and ZX-10RR successful. A decision of local assembly of these two high performing motorcycles, which are also sold in Europe, USA Japan etc., was taken more from future perspective than only from price perspective. India Kawasaki has a vision for Indian market and steps like these will pave the path to achieve its goals. Besides it will also help to increase craze and enthusiasm for these two legendary performers in this country.”
