The Karizma XMR 210 is the first Hero MotoCorp product to feature a liquid-cooled engine, and now it looks like the XPulse and the Xtreme would be sharing the powertrain soon.

New spy shots have surfaced on the web of an ADV and a naked with a liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine. This unit looks very similar to the 210cc unit that debuted with the Karizma. And having this engine on these bikes may be a smart move afterall.

The Karizma’s 210cc engine makes the most power and torque in its segment. With 25.15 bhp and 2.08 kgm at disposal, the XPulse and the Xtreme should get a decent performance bump. It is likely that the bikemaker will tune the engine to suit the character of the naked and the ADV.

Currently, despite the 4-valve treatment, highway touring feels a bit out of the league for the XPulse 200. The Karizma XMR 210 could sustain better highway speeds without feeling stressed, and it had decent low-end grunt too. However, with the XPulse, it would be better to have a tad more torque concentrated at the lower end of the rev range.

As for the Xtreme 210, the 200cc to 250cc segment has an array of motorcycles on offer. From the focused, feature-rich TVS Apache RTR 200 4V to performance machines like the KTM 200 Duke. If Hero carries over the performance of the Karizma XMR and adds some useful features, this could very well take on both the aforementioned bikes.

Both the bikes were heavily camouflaged and it’s difficult to understand the visual details. However, both appear to be bigger and muscular than the current models. In fact, Hero has also equipped the 210cc naked with USD fork and what appears to be MRF Revz FC1 radial tyre, which even the Karizma didn’t get.

Considering all the updates, we expect the Xtreme 210 to cost around Rs 1.6 lakh, while the XPulse could be priced around Rs 1.5 lakh for the standard, and just like the current model, we could see a Pro variant which would demand Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 more (all prices ex-showroom). However, it looks like these bikes are in early stages of testing so it is unlikely that these will debut before the end of 2024.
