More from Motoring

If you have a thing or two for Ducati’s, there’s good news in store just for you. The Italian two-wheeler has announced the launch of two new Scrambler motorcycles, the Scrambler Desert Sled and Scrambler Nightshift, to its existing range in India. Yes, Ducati’s treating us with some really beautiful motorcycles and has already begun accepting bookings for the same.

Both, the Desert Sled and Nightshift belong to Ducati’s Scrambler range of motorcycles and are powered by the 803cc, L-twin-cylinder, two-valve engine now with BS6 compliance. The motor registers 73 bhp@8250 rpm and 6.75 kgm of torque@5750 rpm, and is paired to a 6-speed gearbox that is equipped with a hydraulically-controlled slipper.

The powertrains might be the same as the previous versions, but there’s more to these motorcycles than just that. For instance, the Scrambler Nightshift carries a café-racer theme that includes a flat-seat, flat-handlebar, sticky Pirelli MT60 tyres, side number plate mount, and is draped in an exclusive Aviator Grey paint scheme.

Meanwhile, the Scrambler Desert Sled is quite a different motorcycle altogether. It features taller fenders, longer suspension travel, Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR tyres shod on golden-painted rims with spokes, a black frame and a catchy ‘Sparkling Blue’ colour scheme. Furthermore, it also gets a new seat and a mesh headlight cover.

Price-wise, the Ducati Scrambler Nightshift carries a sticker tag of Rs 9.8 lakh, ex-showroom, India, while the Scrambler Desert Sled is priced at Rs 10.89 lakh, ex-showroom, India. If you had to pick one, which one would it be?
