Folks, this is Bajaj’s Kadak commuter bike, the CT 125X. It joins the CT 110X in Bajaj’s commuter lineup. What’s Kadak about this bike, then? It runs on the tried and tested engine of the Discover 125 (now discontinued).
As for the CT 125X’s engine, the mill produces 10.66 bhp at 8000 rpm and 1.12 kgm of torque at 5500 rpm. In place of a typical fuel-injection system, this engine is fed with an ‘Intelligent Carburetor,’ making it one of the very few bikes on the market today with this capability. This engine comes paired with a 5-speed transmission with an all-down shifting pattern.
A telescopic fork at the front and dual gas-charged shocks at the rear suspend this simple but rigid machine. Braking hardware consists of a front 130 mm drum (with an optional 240 mm disc) and a rear 130 mm drum. It has front tyres sized 80/100 R17 and rear tyres sized 100/90 R17.
Prices for the Bajaj CT 125X start from Rs 71,354 (ex-showroom) for the standard variant and go up to Rs 74,554 (ex-showroom) for the X disk brake variant. Which commuter bike would you consider — the Honda Shine or the Hero Super Splendor?
