Celebrating its tenth anniversary, Ather Energy is among the longest-standing electric two-wheeler manufacturers today. As such, the Bangalore-based two-wheeler firm has launched the Ather 450 Apex, priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom). The Ather 450 Apex is a celebration of the 450 platform that we’ve seen continuously improving throughout the years, and as such, it gets special design tweaks, new features, and improvements in performance and range. However, the 450 Apex is a limited-edition model, so you might want to act faster if you’re planning to buy!

The transparent panels are a nod to the Collector’s Edition launched in 2020

Starting off with how it looks; while the core silhouette has been retained, there are some bits to make it special. The transparent side body panels are a nod to the Collector’s Edition that was launched back in 2020. The 450 Apex also makes use of contrast, with the orange-painted chassis underneath the transparent side body panels, while the rest of the body is finished in a shade of Indium Blue.

What does the Ather 450 Apex pack? Good question, because while it retains the same 3.7 kWh battery pack, Ather says the 6.2 kW electric motor has been massaged to squeeze out even more performance than before, with the scooter now finally crossing the triple digit mark on the speedo, while covering a 0-40 kmph run in just 2.9 seconds. Ather says the 450 Apex also generates 21.4 kgm of wheel torque. All this can be experienced with a new ‘Warp+’ riding mode on offer.

The Ather 450 platform has been around for 10 years

It now also gets a unique ‘Magic Twist’ regen system, which can be used to bring the scooter to a complete halt, working even at 100 per cent battery charge, as opposed to conventional regen systems that slow down the scooter to a certain extent. Ather claims the Magic Twist regen also helps enhance range by 7 per cent more, bringing it up to a claimed figure of 157 km.

Ather has also announced a Delight kit, which includes a handcrafted helmet finished in the same paint scheme as the 450 Apex, along with a tyre pressure monitoring system, and a unique keychain among other things. As mentioned earlier, the Ather 450 Apex is a limited-edition model, so rush to your nearest Ather showroom as quickly as possible!
