Hero MotoCorp has finally launched the all-new Karizma XMR at an introductory price of Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom). In its latest avatar, the legendary Karizma is back with a bang, and bookings for the XMR are already open across the country for a refundable sum of Rs 3000.

Based on a new trellis-frame chassis, and suspended by a conventional telescopic fork at the front and a 6-step adjustable mono-shock at the rear, the Karizma XMR seems to be getting quite a few upgrades. It is powered by a 210cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, DOHC engine that makes 25.15 bhp and 2.08 kgm of peak torque. This engine comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox via a slip-and-assist clutch. Braking duties are handled by disc brakes on the 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends, supported by dual-channel ABS.

The motorcycle features a sporty fairing, just like its predecessor, and gets a new LED headlamp, a segment-first adjustable windscreen and a narrow tail section with a split seat. The bike comes equipped with an LCD instrument console offering Bluetooth connectivity and features like turn-by-turn navigation and SMS and call notifications.
