The Callaway-Waldoch Silverado SC602 is a supercharged Chevrolet Silverado with 602 bhp, 759 Nm and rear-wheel drive. Yes. It begins life as a stock Silverado 1500 RST and gets a bigger dose of performance, with a supercharged V8, upgraded suspension, bigger brakes and 22-inch wheels.
Under the bonnet sits GM’s familiar 6.2-litre V8, but Callaway has fitted its 2.65-litre supercharger, a high-flow intake and revised engine calibration. The result is 602 bhp and 759 Nm, compared with 420 bhp and 624 Nm in the standard Silverado. That’s an extra 182 bhp and 135 Nm, which is a fairly serious jump for a pickup that still looks ready to spend its afternoon hauling things around.
More importantly, the SC602 sends all of that power to the rear wheels. There is no all-wheel-drive system here to quietly tidy things up, so the driver gets to deal with 602 bhp through the back axle. Callaway has also given the truck a selectable Sport mode for its 304 stainless-steel exhaust, ensuring the V8 makes its presence known when you lean into the throttle.
The chassis has received plenty of tweaking, too. The Silverado gets coil-over suspension at the front and adjustable dampers, along with a lower stance aimed at making the big pickup feel more controlled when the road gets interesting. The 22-inch Callaway-Waldoch wheels are wrapped in 305/45 Toyo Proxes ST III performance all-season tyres.
Stopping power has been upgraded to match the extra performance. The SC602 gets six-piston front brake callipers and large 15-inch rotors, giving it considerably more braking hardware than the standard truck. It is a necessary upgrade when you’re asking a full-size American pickup to move with the urgency of something much smaller.
Waldoch Crafts has also worked on the visual side. The Silverado gets a custom grille, illuminated Chevrolet bowtie, colour-keyed exterior details, rocker extensions and SC602 badging. The lower stance and large wheels give it a more aggressive look without completely losing the Silverado’s familiar shape. Buyers can also specify a ‘tuxedo’ treatment with a contrasting black upper section.
Inside, the changes continue with leather and Alcantara upholstery, carbon-look trim, aluminium pedals and Callaway-Waldoch branding. Each truck also gets its own serialised identification, making it one of just 100 Launch Edition examples rather than simply another modified Silverado.
Callaway and Waldoch are offering the SC602 through participating Chevrolet dealers, and customers can choose from a selection of exterior colours. The two companies have also hinted that this partnership could extend beyond the Silverado, with more GM-based performance vehicles, including SUVs, potentially following.
There is some added significance to the timing, too. The SC602 is based on the current Silverado 1500, making this limited-run truck something of a send-off for the outgoing model before Chevrolet moves on to its redesigned 2027-generation pickup.
Callaway hasn’t announced final pricing, but this was never going to be a cheap Silverado. Then again, the appeal isn’t really about value. It is about taking a big American pickup, fitting it with a supercharged V8, giving it more power, and then sending all of that only to the rear wheels.
