What is it?
The Insta360 Ace Pro 2 is the new flagship action camera to take on the likes of the GoPro 13 Black and DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro.
Why is it cool?
Okay, the 8K capability perhaps gives nothing more than bragging rights since YouTube and other social media platforms top out at 4K. However, the 1/1.3-inch sensor can shoot 4K at 40 FPS HDR and 4K 120 FPS slow motion video for some jaw-dropping action videos.
And if you intend to face the camera, just flip up the 2.5-inch touchscreen display. With the camera’s FlowState Stabilisation feature, you can have a 60-degree horizon lock. Oh, and don’t worry about the camera catching the wind chatter when you talk. The integrated wind guard (can be replaced with a sealed guard for underwater filming) should help in isolating all the ambient noise.
Is it expensive?
At $ 399 or ₹34,000, the Ace Pro 2 is actually $ 50 cheaper than the previous version and also costs the same as the GoPro in the States. However, it is yet to be launched in India.
