Hero MotoCorp has launched the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition at ₹1.67 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi ). This special edition joins the current Xpulse lineup, offering a sportier, rally-inspired look for those seeking an off-road adventure.
What’s New?
The Dakar Edition features a new paint scheme inspired by the rally raid event, complete with the Dakar rally logo and bold black and red graphics on the fuel tank and side panels. It’s a look that screams performance, making the bike stand out whether you’re hitting the trails or cruising through the city.
What’s Stayed the Same?
Mechanically, it remains the same as the Xpulse 200 4V Pro. The 199.6 cc engine still pumps out 18.8 bhp and 17.35 kgm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. The bike’s 270 mm ground clearance, and tall seat height of 891 mm give it excellent off-road capabilities. The suspension is well-suited for both urban and trail riding with 250 mm of wheel travel at both ends.
Key Features
The Xpulse 200 4V Dakar Edition comes with an LCD instrument cluster, and three ABS modes: Road, Off-road, and Rally. LED lights, knuckle guards, a tall windscreen, and a USB charging port ensure you’re equipped to tackle long rides and tough conditions.
Price and Rivals
At ₹1.67 lakh (ex-showroom), the Xpulse 200 4V Pro Dakar Edition is the top variant in the Xpulse lineup. It doesn’t have a direct competitor in the same category but faces competition from bikes like the Suzuki V-Strom SX, KTM 250 Adventure, and to some effect, the Royal Enfield Himalayan 450.
