With Mahindra teasing the production-spec of its latest EVs, the BE 6e and the XUV 9e, and a global debut set for 26 November, here is what you need to know.
Mahindra XEV 9e: A Luxury EV on Familiar Ground
The Mahindra XEV 9e appears to be based on Mahindra’s new Inglo platform. The silhouette however does bear a striking resembles to more familiar models.
While specifics on battery capacity, range, and power remain undisclosed, the Mahindra teaser suggests that the XEV 9e is set to compete in the electric SUV segment with cars like the upcoming Tata Harrier EV.
Mahindra BE 6e: Sporty, Built-from-Scratch EV
The BE 6e looks like the sportier cousin in this Mahindra lineup. With an eye-catching front and rear bumper design and an aggressive front and tail lamp setup, Mahindra has described this design as “bold.”
The BE 6e may take a performance-oriented approach, both aesthetically and possibly in its drive.
A quick peek into the interior reveals a twin-screen instrument cluster setup, with the steering wheel following suit in a double-spoke design.
While the numbers—likely similar to those of the XEV 9e—have not been revealed yet, the BE 6e is expected to compete with models like the Tata Curvv, MG ZS EV, and the upcoming MG Windsor EV.
