Kawasaki is gradually unveiling its 2025 models, highlighting a revamped Z900 naked range that boasts improved low-end torque, lean-sensitive electronics, an up/down quickshifter, and more features. The lineup includes both a standard and an SE model, each powered by a Euro5+ compliant 948cc four-cylinder engine.
While the engine capacity remains unchanged, enhancements include new electronic throttle valves, updated camshaft profiles, and revised ECU settings. The 121 bhp engine now offers up to a 16 per cent boost in fuel efficiency and reduced carbon emissions compared to its predecessor. The low-end torque has been increased, with the new quickshifter functional from as low as 1500 rpm onwards.
Other electronic upgrades include standard cruise control, traction control, and multiple rider modes, along with Kawasaki’s first turn-by-turn navigation system, displayed on a five-inch colour TFT dashboard when paired with the Rideology mobile app. The 2025 model has also put on a tiny bit of weight, weighing in at 213 kg. The aesthetics have also seen a slight update, featuring new headlight and tail light units.
Additionally, the Z900 features four-piston brake calipers and Dunlop Sportmax Q5A tires. Two seat heights are available — standard at 830mm and a lower option at 810mm for shorter riders. The Z900 SE variant features a fully adjustable 41mm KYB fork and Ohlins S46 monoshock for enhanced suspension. It also has Brembo M4.32 callipers for improved braking, weighing just 1 kg more than the standard model at 214 kg. The current Z900 has a price tag of Rs 9.38 lakh (ex-showroom) and the 2025 bike will cost a little more than that, considering the updates.
