Ever since its debut, the TVS Apache RR 310 has seen updates almost every year. This time around, the supersport has received a substantial upgrade, even though it might look just like the older RR 310 with winglets slapped on it.
The biggest changes on the new RR 310 are around the 312.2cc reverse-inclined single-cylinder engine that now produces 37.4 bhp at 9800 rpm and 2.95 kgm at 7900 rpm. TVS says that the 11 per cent bump in performance is with a bigger airbox, lighter forged piston and a larger diameter throttle body.
To complement this, the Hosur-based company has even added a cruise control and a bi-directional quickshifter. Furthermore, there’s a new RT-DSC or Race Tuned Dynamic Stability Control that includes cornering ABS, cornering traction control, cornering cruise control, wheelie control, slope dependent control and rear lift-off control. TVS has also given the bike a new transparent clutch cover.
There have been no changes to the suspension and braking equipment from the previous model. Even the design is the same, however, TVS has added a new ‘Bomber Grey’ paint scheme. And the winglets? They are not mere ornaments, but are claimed to deliver 3 kg of downforce.
The TVS Apache RR 310 is priced at Rs 2.75 lakh onwards (ex-showroom) with the BTO kits demanding Rs 18,000 for the Dynamic kit, Rs 16,000 for the Dynamic Pro kit and Rs 7,000 for the Race Replica colour scheme.
