Hot on the heels of the launch of the updated Bajaj Pulsar N160 and the N150, Bajaj has dropped a teaser of another new motorcycle. Going by the few glimpses, it is clear that this is from the Pulsar NS lineup, but considering that the NS160 and the NS200 got their updates less than a year ago, is it finally time for the NS400?

Yes, Bajaj could be working on adding the 12th model to its Pulsar family. Now, the teaser shows that the new bike will don the same styling as the other NS bikes, which may be a good thing for the brand’s fans, but come on, this design is now a decade old! Even the console seems to be the same semi-digital unit, although Bajaj could add Bluetooth connectivity.

That said, the Bajaj Pulsar NS 400 gets the new USD fork setup like the NS200 and the NS160. Even the braking hardware, frame and the monoshock are identical to the NS200. What the biggest update will be, is the KTM-derived 373.2cc single-cylinder engine.

But with the Dominar 400 already using the same unit, why bother with another bike? Well, with the Dominar now taking the touring route with its heavily-loaded version on sale, Bajaj will position the NS as the urban hustler.

The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar NS400 will square up against the likes of the TVS Apache RTR 310, BMW G 310 R, KTM 390 Duke and Triumph Speed 400. However, the Pulsar could be the most affordable of the lot, considering the fact that most of its components will be from the other NS bikes. We expect this bike to launch as early as next month.
