Pre-bookings for the Nissan Terrano AMT has started, with a booking amount of Rs 25,0000.  With deliveries commencing by the end of the month, the Terrano AMT is going to be priced between Rs 13.75 lakh and Rs 13.85 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). As a comparison, that is around Rs 75,000 more expensive than top RXZ variant of the Renault Duster, with which it shares the ZF-sourced AMT gearbox. However, unlike the Duster which also sells the AMT in the RXL trim; the Terrano AMT will be available only in one trim level, the highest one – XVD Premium.

Like the Duster, the Terrano AMT will be paired with the 1.5-litre diesel, with the engine’s power and torque figures remaining the same at 148 bhp and 25.3 kgm. The automatic Terranos will additionally come with hill start assist and ESP, along with other standard safety features like EBD, Brake Assist and dual airbags.

Nissan is making use of opportunity to refresh the Terrano a bit and give it some the new features that came with the facelifted Duster. That includes power-folding exterior rear view mirrors, anti-pinch windows, soft-touch plastics on the dashboard and the door trim. However, features like automatic climate control and a touchscreen infotainment system are still missing from the top-end Terrano.
