Jeep has announced the prices for the 2022 Jeep Meridian, starting at Rs 29.9 lakh (ex-showroom) for the base variant.
The Meridian gets a 170-bhp 2.0-litre turbo diesel engine producing a peak torque of 35.69 kgm. This is coupled to either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 9-speed automatic transmission. It comes in both front-wheel drive and all-wheel-drive variants.
The Jeep Meridian comes in two trim levels, both having top-of-the-line features. It comes with a 10.1-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless charging, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 360-degree camera. It also gets a panoramic sunroof, powered front seats with ventilation, a powered tailgate and much more.
The Meridian has seating for up to seven people in three rows. With the rear seats folded down, it also gets 480 litres of boot space. It includes features like a tyre pressure monitor, six airbags, hill-descent control and an automatic parking brake. It will be available in five shades including Techno-Green and Velvet-Red.
The Jeep Meridian also competes against the likes of the MG Gloster, Skoda Kodiaq and Toyota Fortuner. The SUV already has over 1,200 bookings since the 3rd of May, and seems to be up for a decent tussle with its competitors. Check out our review of the Meridian here.
