Hindustan Petroleum and Chevron Brands International have come together to launch Caltex lubricants in India. While Caltex might still be a familiar name to some ears, Chevron, the parent organization, is the second-largest oil company based in the United States. Through this partnership, HPCL will be responsible for the licensing, production, distribution, and marketing of Chevron products under the Caltex brand. The premium range of Caltex lubricants and oils will be manufactured by HPCL at its plant in Silvassa.
As part of this agreement, HPCL will also be selling Chevron’s exclusive Havoline and Delo-branded lubricants in India. The launch took place in grand fashion at the Gateway of India in Mumbai. This partnership benefits both parties, as Hindustan Petroleum gets to strengthen its premium lubricant portfolio, while Chevron gets to cash in on a lucrative, growing market.
