When Audi India began to bring itself back together after a tough time, it was the Q8 that set the ball rolling, and then the rest of the newer models followed. The Audi Q8 has now received a minor facelift globally in order to keep it relevant, and we can expect it to be launched here in the coming months.

The facelifted Audi Q8 retains the Octagonal Singleframe grille, but the horizontal slats have now been replaced by vertical elements. On higher variants, this grille is finished in a Gloss Black shade. However, the headlamps are actually the talking point here. In addition to regular and Matrix LED lights, the Audi Q8 also gets the option of HD Matrix headlights with Audi laser light technology, which works with 24 LEDs and a high-power laser diode. These headlights also receive four different DRL signatures. Audi is also offering five new alloy wheel designs ranging from 21-inches to 23-inches.

At the rear, the digital OLED tail-lights feature four different signatures, and a proximity sensor. This sensor lights up the tail-lamps when a vehicle comes within two metres of a parked Q8. The new two-dimensional logo first seen on the Q8 e-tron is now also on the facelifted Q8.

In terms of features, the biggest change is that third party apps such as Spotify and Amazon music have now been listed as regulars in the Q8’s app store. Additionally, the Audi Virtual Cockpit now also displays lane change warning, traffic distance warning, intersection assist and traffic light information.

The Audi Q8 is unlikely to feature any mechanical changes, and it is expected to retain the 3-litre V6 engine, producing 335 bhp and 50.9 kgm of torque. We expect the facelifted Audi Q8 to be just around the corner, and an announcement from the German luxury car maker should be happening in the coming few weeks.
