Volvo India is gearing up to launch the facelifted Volvo XC60 in India on August 1, 2025. Unveiled globally earlier this year, the XC60 facelift brings a host of subtle design enhancements and significant tech upgrades, making it more appealing to premium SUV buyers in India.
On the outside, the Volvo XC60 facelift features minor cosmetic tweaks, including a redesigned front grille inspired by the larger XC90, revised front and rear bumpers, and updated lighting elements in the tail lamps. Volvo will also introduce newly designed alloy wheels to further freshen up the SUV’s profile.
Inside the cabin, the changes are more noticeable. The most significant update is the new 11.2-inch central touchscreen infotainment system, which now features improved pixel density and enhanced responsiveness. This is made possible thanks to the inclusion of Qualcomm’s next-gen Snapdragon Cockpit Platform, which promises faster graphics and smoother operation.
The Bowers & Wilkins premium sound system has also been upgraded for a more immersive audio experience. Additionally, the facelifted XC60 offers the option of air suspension in global markets — a feature that may also be introduced to the India-spec model.
The outgoing model is already packed with features, many of which are expected to carry over. These include a panoramic glass sunroof, four-zone climate control, Level 2 (ADAS), a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, heated and ventilated front seats with a massage function, a Bowers & Wilkins audio system, and more.
Under the hood, the Volvo XC60 facelift will continue to feature the same 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system. This powertrain produces 247 bhp and 36.70 kgm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
The upcoming 2025 Volvo XC60 facelift offers the perfect blend of evolutionary design, cutting-edge infotainment, and premium comfort features. With its India launch slated for August 1, it’s set to take on rivals like the Audi Q5, BMW X3, and Mercedes-Benz GLC. Stay tuned for pricing and variant details as the launch date approaches.
