In a significant move that promises to democratize luxury electric mobility in India, Volvo Cars has officially launched the all-new EX30 at an aggressive introductory ex-showroom price of Rs 39.99 lakh. This strategically priced offering will be available at this special rate only until October 19, after which it will retail at Rs 41 lakh, making it the most accessible Volvo in the Indian market. The company has already opened pre-reservations, with deliveries scheduled to commence in the first week of November 2025.

The EX30’s arrival marks a pivotal moment for Volvo India’s electric vehicle strategy. Positioned below the EX40 and EC40 models, this compact SUV enters the market at a price point that directly targets young, urban professionals seeking premium electric mobility without venturing into the Rs 50-60 lakh bracket. This strategic pricing, combined with Volvo’s established reputation for safety and Scandinavian design, positions the EX30 as a compelling alternative to both luxury combustion vehicles and more expensive electric options.

Manufactured locally at Volvo’s Hoskote facility near Bengaluru, the EX30 combines Swedish engineering with Indian production efficiencies. The electric powertrain features a substantial 69kWh battery pack that delivers an impressive 480km range (WLTP certified) on a single charge. The single-motor, rear-wheel-drive configuration generates 272bhp and 34.97 kgm of torque**, ensuring spirited performance suitable for both city commuting and highway driving.

True to Volvo’s legacy, the EX30 comes loaded with cutting-edge technology and safety systems. The interior is dominated by a 12.3-inch touchscreen with built-in Google services, while audio enthusiasts will appreciate the premium 1040W Harman Kardon sound system with nine speakers. The feature list extends to a panoramic sunroof, wireless charging, NFC smart card access, and multiple ambient lighting themes.

Safety remains a cornerstone of Volvo’s philosophy, with the EX30 equipped with comprehensive ADAS features including **lane keeping aid, adaptive cruise control, 360-degree surround view camera, and intersection auto-brake** technology.

Volvo is supporting the EX30 launch with an attractive ownership package that includes a three-year comprehensive warranty, service package, and roadside assistance. Additionally, buyers receive an eight-year battery warranty and a complimentary wall box charger, addressing key concerns around EV ownership.

The EX30 represents Volvo’s boldest play yet for volume in the Indian premium EV space, combining Scandinavian design, local manufacturing advantages, and aggressive pricing to create an irresistible proposition for evolved electric vehicle buyers.
