In the current digital age, just having an identity in the digital space is no more sufficient. One needs to stay updated in order to stay ahead of the curve by being innovative and offering pro-active services. On the same note, Volkswagen has launched a ‘Digital Workplace Experience’ app for digitalising the entire sales and after-sales process. The development has been introduced across all 121 Volkswagen dealerships across 104 cities in India. Sales and after-sales representatives will now be equipped with tablets with pre-installed Digital Workplace application.
Through the app, consultants will be able to provide customers an improved sales and after-sales experience. It will enable them to better lead capturing, 360-degree view and vehicle presentation, videos, competition comparison, explore financing solutions, register test-drives and much more. The app also has a function to generate a customised product brochure of the preferred vehicle including the choice of features opted.
Moving to the after-sales experience, through the app, technicians at the workshop will be able to explain the entire repair work procedure to owners with ease. The customers will also receive timely updates via SMS about the status of their vehicle right from the time it enters the workshop till it exits after completion of repair work. The app also allows the customers the choice of having the vehicle picked-up from their residence to having it dropped off back at their doorstep.
Steffen Knapp, Director, Volkswagen Passenger Cars said, “People are at the centre of Volkswagen’s business and with the Digital Workplace initiative, we aim to enhance the sales and after-sales processes as well as digitalize the customer buying experience. As the country moves a step forward with the Digitalize India campaign, this is yet another enterprise to fully integrate our dealerships and provide a premium user experience. It is our endeavour to offer our customers, all of Volkswagen’s services at the comfort and convenience of their homes.”
