Maruti Suzuki has partnered with the Indian Air Force (IAF) and the Uttarakhand War Memorial for the Vayu Veer Vijeta Rally, also known as the “Himalayan Thunder” and “Wings of Glory” Car Rally.
The ceremonial flag-off took place on 1st October 2024 at the National War Memorial, Delhi, led by the Minister of Defence, Shri. Rajnath Singh.
The rally will cover 7,000 km from THOISE to Tawang Air Force Station in Arunachal Pradesh. Fifty-two participants, including Air Warriors, women officers, veterans, and War Memorial representatives, will take part, supported by 12 Maruti Suzuki Jimny SUVs to navigate the difficult terrain. Three former Air Force Chiefs will join different legs of the rally.
