The Tata Harrier EV has made a strong debut in the Indian market, garnering over 10,000 bookings within just 24 hours of opening order books. Priced between ₹21.49 lakh and ₹29.74 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the electric SUV is poised to become one of the most anticipated EVs in the country. Tata Motors has also commenced production of the Harrier EV at its Pune manufacturing facility. Interested customers can book the SUV with a token amount of ₹21,000.
While the design stays true to the Harrier ICE model, the electric version features distinct EV-specific styling touches, such as a blanked-off front grille that highlights its electric identity.
In terms of features, the Harrier EV comes well-equipped with a panoramic sunroof, Level 2 ADAS, powered and ventilated front seats, multi-zone climate control, 360-degree camera, integrated front and rear dash cameras, remote parking, and a premium JBL Black audio system with Dolby Atmos.
The Quad Wheel Drive (QWD) variants introduce additional features, including six terrain modes, a transparent bonnet view provided by the camera system, and off-road cruise control, which enhance its off-road capabilities.

The Harrier EV is offered in two drivetrain options – Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) and Quad-Wheel Drive (QWD) – along with four exterior colours: Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White and Pure Grey. Additionally, a Stealth Edition is available, featuring a matte black exterior finish and a fully blacked-out interior for a more aggressive look.
As for performance, the RWD variant comes with a 235 bhp electric motor mounted on the rear axle, paired with either a 65 kWh or 75 kWh battery pack. The dual-motor QWD version adds a 156 bhp motor on the front axle, taking the combined output to over 300 bhp and 51.39 kgm of torque.
The claimed range figures are equally impressive:
- 538 km for the 65 kWh RWD
- 627 km for the 75 kWh RWD
- 622 km for the 75 kWh QWD
With its aggressive pricing, premium features, and strong performance credentials, the Tata Harrier EV is shaping up to be a serious contender in the electric SUV segment.
