Skoda Auto India has officially announced that the highly anticipated fourth-generation Octavia RS will launch in the Indian market on October 17. Adding to the excitement, the company will open pre-bookings for this performance sedan exclusively through its official website starting October 6.
In a move that is sure to create a frenzy among enthusiasts, Skoda has said that it will mostly import approximately 100 units of this sporty model via the Completely Built Unit (CBU) route. This limited-run model, which was first showcased at the 2025 Auto Expo, will begin reaching customers from November 6, making it an exclusive offering in the Indian performance car segment.

Under the hood, the India-spec Octavia RS will feature a potent 2.0-litre TSI petrol engine mated to a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission. This powertrain configuration delivers an impressive 261 bhp and 37.72 kgm of torque, channelling power to the front wheels. While the Indian model will be based on the UK specification and manufactured in the Czech Republic, it’s important to note that it will not feature the Dynamic Chassis Control (DSC) system available in some international markets.
Skoda will most likely offer the Octavia RS in a single, fully-loaded variant at launch, positioning it as a premium offering for driving enthusiasts. The limited availability strategy mirrors Skoda’s approach with previous performance models like the Superb L&K and earlier generation Octavia RS versions, creating an exclusive ownership proposition.
