Mumbai-based EV start-up PMV Electric has launched its Eas-E electric microcar in the Indian market. The Eas-E is a 2-seat quadricycle featuring a tallboy design priced at Rs 4.79 lakh (ex-showroom). PMV is accepting pre-orders at a price of Rs 2,000. The company claims to have already received over 6000 bookings from India and international markets.
The electric microcar has a dual-tone interior and a basic dashboard with the steering wheel in the centre. The car also comes with a digital instrument cluster and a touchscreen infotainment system. Other features include feet-free driving, Remote Parking Assist, Cruise Control, Remote connectivity and diagnostics, Bluetooth and navigation. It features circular headlamps and an LED light bar at the front, and an almost vertical rear fascia with slim LED tail lights.
The Eas-E uses a permanent magnet synchronous motor mounted on the front axle. It produces 13 bhp and 5.09 kgm of torque. This enables the car to accelerate from zero to 40 kph in under 5 seconds. It also has a claimed top speed of 70 kph. Powered by a 47V lithium-iron-phosphate battery, it can be charged using a 15A socket in three to four hours. Further, the car is available in three range options consisting of 120 km, 160 km and 200 km.
