In terms of technology, the Q5 comes with an 11.9-inch OLED Audi display for the driver and an optional 10.9-inch passenger display. The infotainment system supports high-speed internet, Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay.

Additionally, the head and tail lamps now feature customisable matrix LED, which allows for aesthetic changes.

Audi has also focused on aerodynamic improvements. These include, a fully clad underbody, air curtains, and rear aero panels, which reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency.

Inside, the Q5 maintains its renowned comfort and quality. It incorporates sustainable materials like recycled polyester and textiles such as Kaskade and Dinamica.

The cabin features a horizontal control panel with integrated displays. The rear seats are fully adjustable and can fold to expand the trunk to 1473 litres. Additional features include an enlarged storage compartment under the centre armrest and a charging docket.

The Audi Q5 comes with the Bang & Olufsen premium sound system is a 16-speaker system. The A-pillar and mid-range speakers create a 3D surround sound experience. Audi calls this ‘Symphoria’, this sound technology from the Fraunhofer Institute adds crucial sound dimensions — width, depth, and height — offering a sense of spaciousness in the interior cabin.

Externally, the design remains similar, with a high shoulder line and a slightly wider Q series front single-frame grille. The rear design now includes a full-width light strip and sculpted tailpipes.

The Q5 is available in three design variants — basic, advanced, and S line — and eleven colour options, including Tambora Gray and Sakhir Gold metallic. Alloy wheels range from 17 to 21-inches.

Furthermore, it comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of driver assistance systems for enhanced safety and convenience. Standard features include lane departure warning, cruise control, rear parking aid, and attention and drowsiness assistance. Optional packages offer advanced systems like the Adaptive Driving Assistant Plus for semi-autonomous driving.

The new Audi Q5 SUV and Audi SQ5 SUV will be launched in Germany and several other European countries in the first quarter of 2025, with orders starting in Germany from September 2024.

Prices for the new models start at approximately €54,650; the diesel-powered Audi Q5 TDI Quattro 150 kW starts at €57,100, and the Audi SQ5 SUV starts at €82,900.

Although the Audi Q5 has not yet arrived in India, it is anticipated that while the driving experience may be similar, the ownership experience will be dynamic thanks to these changes, while still staying true to Audi. Prices for the India release are yet to be announced.
