Mercedes-Benz India is all set to spice up the performance coupe space with the launch of the AMG CLE 53 4MATIC+ on August 12, 2025. Following the high-octane introductions of the AMG GT63 and GT63 Pro, the German luxury carmaker is ready to add another thrilling nameplate to its AMG portfolio, and this one blends power, luxury, and sleek design in true AMG fashion.
At the heart of the CLE 53 4MATIC+ lies a 3.0-litre inline-six turbo-petrol engine paired with a mild-hybrid system, delivering an impressive 442.5bhp and 57.10 kgm of torque. This powerhouse is mated to an AMG TCT 9G multi-clutch transmission, allowing for lightning-fast gear changes and consistent power delivery. Mercedes claims the coupe can sprint from 0 to 100kph in just 4.2 seconds, while top speed is electronically limited to 250kph. The fully variable 4MATIC+ all-wheel drive system ensures optimal traction and handling across conditions, giving the car a perfect balance of performance and control.

In typical AMG fashion, the CLE 53 wears a bold and athletic design language. It features flared wheel arches, a distinctive AMG-specific grille, quad exhaust tips, and an AMG fuel filler cap in silver chrome. Buyers will also have the option to equip the coupe with matte black 20-inch alloy wheels, adding even more aggression to the visual appeal.
The interior continues the sporty theme with Nappa leather upholstery, a flat-bottom AMG steering wheel with red contrast accents, and matching red highlights on the AC vents and seats. The overall ambience is unmistakably AMG, with a focus on sporty luxury. There are also whispers of a limited-edition variant featuring yellow contrast detailing, dark chrome interior trim, and prominent AMG logos, which could be introduced in India as part of a special launch pack.
