Italian supercar manufacturer Maserati has unveiled the GranCabrio Folgore, its third all-electric supercar. What’s unique about this one is that it’s a convertible! Not just that, it is the fastest electric convertible on the market right now.

With technology derived from Formula E, the GranCabrio Folgore is built around an 800-volt architecture. It has three electric motors — one in the front and two in the rear  — delivering a combined output of over 1200 horses! The GranCabrio’s battery has a capacity of 92.5 kWh, of which, 83 kWh is usable.

The Italian supercar has a peak torque of 137.6 kgm, and a claimed range of 419-447 kilometres. The GranCabrio flaunts a 0-100 kph time of 2.8 seconds, along with a top speed figure of 290 kph.

At the styling front, it looks just like the GranTurismo Folgore, but with a fabric roof. The supercar comes equipped with four driving modes — Max Range, GT, Sport and Corsa — all of them being self-explanatory of their functions.

We’re really excited to see the GranCabrio Folgore in action, are you? Let us know!
