Mahindra has added a fresh layer of style to the Thar Roxx lineup with the launch of the new Thar Roxx Star EDN, a design-focused version of its lifestyle SUV. Priced at an introductory ₹16.85 lakh (ex-showroom), the Star EDN positions itself as a more premium and exclusive take on the Roxx, aimed at buyers who want rugged capability wrapped in extra visual drama.
What’s new?
Visually, the Thar Roxx Star EDN makes an instant statement. It gets a piano-black front grille and matching piano-black alloy wheels, giving the SUV a sharper and more aggressive presence. Mahindra has also introduced a striking new Citrine Yellow shade as the hero colour, while other options include Tango Red, Everest White, and Stealth Black, ensuring there’s a flavour for every personality.
Step inside, and the upgrades continue. The cabin now features all-black leatherette upholstery with suede inserts, instantly elevating the sense of luxury. Feature highlights include ventilated front seats, a sliding armrest, 60:40 split rear seats with recline function, fully automatic climate control, a panoramic sunroof, and a surround-view camera.
More Tech?
On the tech front, the Star EDN packs a 10.2-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital instrument cluster, AdrenoX connected car technology with Alexa integration, and a nine-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, making it one of the most feature-rich versions of the Thar Roxx yet.
Under the hood, the Thar Roxx Star EDN retains the familiar powertrain options from the standard model. The 2.0-litre TGDi petrol engine produces 176 bhp and 38.7 kgm of torque and is offered exclusively with an automatic transmission. The 2.2-litre diesel engine delivers 172 bhp and up to 40.8 kgm of torque and is available with both manual and automatic gearboxes. All variants of the Star EDN are offered with a rear-wheel-drive setup, keeping the focus on lifestyle appeal with everyday usability.
With its bold styling tweaks, premium cabin upgrades, and proven mechanical package, the Mahindra Thar Roxx Star EDN is clearly aimed at buyers who want their SUV to stand out, not just off the road but on it too.
