Kia India has officially opened bookings for the Carens Clavis EV, the brand’s first made-in-India all-electric vehicle. Priced from ₹17.99 lakh (ex-showroom), this all-electric MPV can be reserved for a token amount of ₹25,000 either through Kia’s official website or at authorised dealerships across the country.
The Carens Clavis EV is offered in four variants: HTK+, HTX, HTX ER, and HTX+ ER, with “ER” denoting the Extended Range options. Buyers can choose between two battery packs, a 42 kWh standard battery and a larger 51.4 kWh unit. The smaller pack delivers 133 bhp, while the extended-range variant produces a more potent 169 bhp. Both setups produce 26 kgm of torque and send power to the front wheels. ARAI-certified range figures stand at 404 km for the 42 kWh battery and 490 km for the 51.4 kWh pack.
Mr. Joonsu Cho, chief sales officer, Kia India, commented, ‘The Carens Clavis EV marks a pivotal moment in Kia India’s journey towards making electric mobility truly inclusive and accessible. As our first EV inspired by India, it’s a true 7-seater that blends sustainability, practicality, and value. With our growing EV ecosystem — including the K-Charge feature on the MyKia app and over 250 EV-ready workshops, 100 of which are equipped with DC fast chargers — we’re confident in offering customers complete peace of mind.’
