The Meridian X has made a comeback, now available at Rs 34.27 lakh (ex-showroom). Initially introduced as a limited edition model, Jeep says the Meridian X has made a comeback due to popular demand, Okay, then. The Meridian X receives minor cosmetic enhancements and additional features, while retaining the same mechanicals.

Aesthetic enhancements include body-coloured lowers, a grey-painted roof, and dual-tone alloy wheels. It otherwise carries over the same design as the standard model. The SUV also includes side moulding, puddle lamps, customisable ambient lighting, window sunshades, an air purifier, a dash cam, and premium carpet mats.

The interior retains the 10.2-inch driver display, a 10.1-inch central information hub, and it also offers dual-zone temperature control, a nine-speaker Alpine sound system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, eight-way electronically adjustable ventilated front seats, with memory function for the driver. It also includes a wireless charging pad, a 360-degree camera, a panoramic sunroof, connected car technology, and a powered tailgate. Customers can also purchase an optional rear seat entertainment package, which includes a Wi-Fi-enabled 11.6-inch display for streaming content and playing games.

Speaking of safety, the SUV comes with six airbags, adaptive brake lights, an electronic parking brake with auto hold function, traction control, ESC, ABS with EBD, electronic roll mitigation, hill start assist, TPMS, and hill descent control.

The 2.0-litre diesel engine produces 168 bhp and 35.6 kg of peak torque. This allows the SUV to accelerate from 0-100 kph in 10.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 198 kph. Jeep is yet to confirm if the Meridian X is offered with an automatic or manual gearbox, nor if it comes with a 4×2 or 4×4 configuration.

The Jeep Meridian X Special Edition comes in various paint schemes: Galaxy Blue, Silvery Moon, Velvet Red, Techno Metallic Green, Pearl White, Magnesio Grey, Brilliant Black, and Magnesio Grey.
