It’s the beginning of summer in Europe, and while there aren’t many cars on the roads, that hasn’t stopped Mercedes-Benz from launching a Cabriolet. The E-Class Coupe and Cabriolet get a shot in the arm, consisting of a whole lot of tech goodies.

Let’s talk about their design for a second. The standard models get a standard ‘A-shape’ grille with chrome plated dots, flat headlamp housing and new two-piece tail-lights. The AMG E 53 Coupe seen here dons the iconic Panamericana grille and sports quad exhaust tips at the rear.

Powertrain options for these two include two petrol engines and a diesel. The AMG E 53 Coupe is, of course, the range-topping model. The E 53 Coupe produces a total of 429 bhp and 53.02 kgm of peak torque thanks to a 3.0-litre twin turbo engine with an integrated 48V mild hybrid set-up. The integrated starter-generator adds 21 bhp and 25.49 kgm of torque when needed. Power is sent to all four wheels through a 9-speed automatic gearbox.

We’re not sure Mercedes-Benz will be bringing these to India, but we do know that the E-Class sedan will be getting a refresh soon, so stay tuned for more info on that!
