Chinese brand BYD has launched the all-electric Atto 3 in India priced at Rs 33.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Positioned just above the e6 MPV, it will be the second offering from the manufacturer. The EV has garnered a good response and is close to the 1,500 mark since booking began on October 11, 2022.
The electric SUV features a solid chrome grille with sleek LED headlamps, while the rear features wraparound LED tail lights with a light bar. The Atto 3 comes equipped with features like a rotating 12.8-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity and a digital instrument cluster. Other features include a panoramic sunroof, automatic climate control, powered front seats and a one-touch electric tailgate. The SUV also gets ADAS along with 7 airbags, ABS, ESP, hill-hold assist, and a 360-degree camera.
The BYD Atto 3 comes with a 60.48 kWh battery pack that is claimed to offer a range of 521 km (ARAI). It powers an electric motor mounted on the front axle, making 201 bhp and 31.6 kgm of torque. BYD further claims that the Atto 3 can accelerate from zero to 100 kph in 7.3 seconds. The Atto 3 uses BYD’s born EV platform and the ultra-safe blade battery. It also features a vehicle-to-load function that has an output of up to 3.3 kW.
BYD offers an 8-year or 1.6 lakh km warranty on the battery and an 8-year or 1.5 lakh km warranty on the motor and motor assembly. The company also offers a 6-year or 1.5 lakh km warranty on DC high-voltage components. The Atto 3 is available in 4 colour options, Boulder Grey, Parkour Red, Ski White and Surf Blue.
