BMW’s tempting us again! This is the new 530i M Sport Carbon Edition. Heck, we’re already impressed with its 248-bhp 2.0-litre in-line four petrol engine that manages a 0-100-kph sprint in 6.1 seconds and its elegant interiors. But, this Carbon Edition just takes the 530i’s sportiness a level above by adding numerous carbon fibre bits to its exteriors.

For instance, the kidney grille, front attachment and splitters come in dark black carbon fibre, followed by some more carbon fibre on the mirror caps and rear spoiler. While the sharp 18-inch alloys painted in Jet Black offer a good contrast to the 5er’s exclusive Alpine White paintwork. Inside, the seats are wrapped in perforated Sensatec covers and get the special M Sport leather steering wheel.

Of course, the 5er still gets features like the full-LED adaptive headlights, a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, gesture control, sound system by Harman Kardon, to name a few. All that carbon fibre and a long list of features will set you back by Rs 66.3 lakh (ex-India). Sadly, this trim is only available on the 530i and not on the 520d yet. Yep, we know this is an exclusive trim, but if BMW India’s listening, we’d love to see the Carbon Edition trim on the 3 Series or on all BMWs that one can buy (wishful thinking?). Now, wouldn’t that be tempting?
