Spoiler alert! The huge tilted spoiler (manually adjustable) that you see on the Abarth 695 Esseesse has two purposes. First, it looks cheeky and lastly, it will give you the optimal drag or downforce that the Abarth needs. Tilt it all the way up to 60 degrees and it will generate 42 kg of downforce. And keeping it at zero will add to the car’s performance.

Speaking of performance, this cheeky devil’s quicker than Abarth 595 Competizione. Still using the same 13-year old 1.4-litre inline-four turbo motor, the Esseesse now produces 178 bhp paired to a 5-speed manual. Well, that’s quick enough for it to accelerate from 0-100-kph in 6.7 seconds with a top speed of 225 kph. Plus, the addition of Koni FSD shock absorbers, Akrapovic exhaust and an all-new aluminium bonnet make the 695 Esseesse leaner by 10 kg than the 595 Competizione. Of course, to add more aesthetic appeal, the brake callipers are painted in red.

This also makes the 695 Esseesse the top dog in the Abarth lineup. Inside, there are enough special edition bits to remind you that you’re sitting in a limited edition Abarth. For instance, the laser-cut 695 Essesse logo on the dashboard, the Sabelt bucket seats, carbon fibre gear knob and more Alcantara. Also, these Abarths are limited to only 1390 units.
