Mercedes-Benz India has launched the exclusive EQS 580 4MATIC Celebration Edition. Priced at ₹1.30 crore (ex-showroom), this limited-production model celebrates the brand’s impressive 73 per cent growth in luxury EV sales during the first five months of 2025. Only 50 units of this special edition will be available nationwide, making it one of the most exclusive electric vehicles in the Indian market.
The Celebration Edition transforms the EQS 580 into the ultimate expression of electric luxury, particularly focusing on rear-seat comfort. The cabin features multi-contour massage seats that recline up to 38 degrees, complemented by executive leg rests and calf support for unparalleled relaxation. The inclusion of the Chauffeur Package allows the front passenger seat to tilt electronically forward, creating a business-class lounge experience in the rear. Every surface is adorned with premium Nappa leather, while designer seatbelt buckles and integrated rear-seat entertainment tablets complete the bespoke luxury experience.
Technological innovation remains at the heart of this special edition, featuring Mercedes’ signature MBUX Hyperscreen system enhanced with augmented reality navigation that projects real-time directions onto a live camera view of the road ahead. The advanced voice assistant responds to natural language commands, while 5G connectivity ensures seamless over-the-air updates. An immersive Burmester 4D surround sound system with 31 speakers delivers concert-hall quality audio throughout the cabin.
Performance matches the luxury, with the dual-motor all-wheel-drive system delivering 536 bhp and 87.49 kgm of torque, propelling the sedan from 0-100 kph in just 4.3 seconds. The 107.8 kWh battery pack provides an ARAI-certified range of 817 km – the highest of any EV currently available in India. When needed, 200kW DC fast charging can replenish the battery from 0-80 per cent in just 31 minutes.
This launch coincides with Mercedes-Benz India’s strategic expansion, including 11 new touchpoints in 2025 and the introduction of an ‘Atelier Experience’ in Chennai for bespoke customer services.
