Kia has previewed the next generation of the Seltos in India, and the SUV has clearly grown into a far more confident, more purposeful machine. The company repeatedly called it a future ‘protagonist’ in its global lineup, and you can see why, this is the most mature the Seltos has ever looked.
Start with the face. The nose is sharper and more upright, with vertically stacked split headlamps sitting deeper inside a wider grille. Satin Silver elements on the new skid plate add a tougher, more outdoorsy vibe. Move to the profile and the EV5 influence is hard to miss, flush door handles, thick cladding, and a rising shoulder line that still nods to the original Seltos. A bold diagonal crease across the rear doors brings a bit of drama to the shape. At the back, a sleeker spoiler and a full-width tail-lamp setup with hourglass-style verticals tie the update together.
Kia will offer two distinct personas: the sportier GT-Line and the more rugged X-Line. Both share the same basic design package, but the GT-Line uses body-coloured detailing while the X-Line goes all-in on darker, gunmetal finishes
Inside, the SUV effectively joins Kia’s EV family in look and feel. The new cabin is anchored by twin 12.3-inch displays and a clean climate-control panel, backed by slim vents and a handful of physical buttons for everyday use. OTA updates, an AI-based assistant, a panoramic sunroof, head-up display, premium audio from Harman Kardon or Bose, and 64-colour ambient lighting round off the tech-heavy interior. ADAS, too, takes a solid step up with a more comprehensive suite of active safety features.
The SUV’s larger footprint now pays off in cabin space. Kia says the new interior has been set up with families in mind, more room, better flexibility, and convenient touches like a reclining rear bench and the AddGear accessory-mounting system. The boot has grown as well, now at 536 litres with the help of a dual-level floor, a healthy 103-litre jump over the outgoing model.
If the current Seltos helped define Kia’s presence in India, the next one looks ready to push the badge into a more premium, more tech-forward space, without losing the familiar Seltos attitude that made it a bestseller in the first place.
