Hey, it’s Tuesday, why are we still talking about the blues? It’s because of the motorcycle in question here. The recently-launched Jawa 350 now gets a new blue shade, which will soon be offered in showrooms. The motorcycle was recently showcased in this new paint scheme at the Mahindra Blues Festival. Interestingly, the festival’s theme for this year was ‘celebrating the women in blues.’
The Jawa 350 may resemble the ‘Just Jawa’ that was launched back in 2018, but we noticed a few subtle changes here and there; you might want to hit this link to find out what those changes are. Similarly, the Jawa 350 Blue isn’t any different from the regular Jawa 350, except for the new blue paint scheme (wow, we’re saying ‘blue’ quite a lot, aren’t we?). Based on pictures alone, this new paint scheme bears a striking resemblance to the one that used to be on offer with the Jawa 42, which has been repositioned since and offers a more neo-retro experience compared to the fully-classic 350.
The rest of the motorcycle remains unchanged in terms of mechanicals; it packs the same 334 cc, liquid-cooled single, producing 22.2 bhp at 7000 rpm and 2.8 kgm of torque at 5000 rpm, while paired to a six-speed transmission. It is also equipped with an assist-and-slipper clutch, which enabled Keshav to stay on one wheel more often in his experience.
What’s the price tag you ask? Rs 2.14 lakh (ex-showroom), which is on par with its arch nemesis, the Royal Enfield Classic 350. This calls for a rematch, doesn’t it?
